95% of Turbo failures are because of problems with oil starvation, oil contamination or foreign object damage, the following MUST be done by a qualified professional for warranty coverage:
- Injector seals must be replaced before installation of new turbocharger
- All turbo lines must be flushed & cleaned out before installation of new turbocharger
- Engine sump & oil pick up must be cleaned out before installation of new turbocharger
- Cam chain guides must be inspected - this model has teflon guides that delaminate and cause blockages
- Smoke test the vehicle to ensure no pressure leaks are evident, this can cause turbocharger to overspeed..
- Inspect the catalyst to ensure the exhaust system is not blocked causing back pressure on the turbocharger.
- Warranty is a replacement only warranty and does not cover any labour/damage
- Turbocharger will be returned back to our supplier and examined first before any warranty is covered
